Public sector practice

The majority of our Government work to date has been transacted in the Middle East, mainly in the GCC. We have placed senior executives into a wide range of policy and ministerial areas in a number of National and local Governments. We have also supported the private offices of Rulers with the placement of world class subject matter experts with the experience, discretion and cultural sensitivity to advise leaders both directly and indirectly; without the need for public recognition.

The ideal profile of candidates we seek for typical mandates in this area normally have some or all of the following:

Bullet point Several years of public sector experience at a top 4 strategy consulting firm or equivalent, backed by an MBA or equivalent post graduate qualification from a world-leading University

Bullet point A minimum of one contract term at a leading global NGO, reputable international think-tank or elite policy unit

Most of our retained search assignments within the public sector practice are highly confidential, given the sensitivity of the client stakeholders. Recent examples of work includes:

Bullet point Senior Policy Advisor – Private Office to a leading Middle Eastern Ruler

Bullet point General Counsel – National Competitiveness Council for a prominent Middle Eastern Country

Bullet point Head of International Affairs – Ministry of Foreign Affairs at a progressive Middle Eastern Country

Bullet point Director of Special Education – Education Council at a key Middle Eastern State

Bullet point Chief Economist – Leading Middle Eastern Sovereign Wealth Fund

Bullet point Media Advisor – Media conglomerate, Abu Dhabi (UAE).
